Itinerary

Day 1: Home > Antananarivo

Arrival at Ivato Airport. Welcoming then transfer to your hotel situated near of the airport. We suggest you to get a good rest before taking a long drive tomorrow.

Day 2: Antananarivo > Miandrivazo

 

After an early breakfast, we head south, passing through landscapes of rice fields and traditional Highland villages just beyond Antananarivo. Along the way, a quickly stop in Ambatolampy, renowned for its aluminum craftsmanship, where cooking pots are made for the entire country. Our journey continues to Antsirabe, where we will enjoy lunch before taking National Road 34 to Miandrivazo, known as the hottest place in Madagascar. This small town reflects the charm and authenticity of a typical lowland Malagasy community.

Day 3: Miandrivazo > First day of descent of Tsiribihina

Transfer to the boarding point, where your adventure begins with a scenic descent of the Tsiribihina River. Along the way, admire the diverse landscapes and spot rare birds in their natural habitat. A stop at a small fishing village offers a warm encounter with the Malagasy people and a glimpse into their daily life. As the sun sets, set up camp on a pristine white sandy beach and unwind in the heart of nature. Overnight stay in tents, under a starlit sky.

Day 4: Second day of descent of Tsiribihina

The journey down the river continues, revealing breathtaking landscapes. A stop at a magnificent waterfall and its natural pool offers the perfect opportunity to relax and take a refreshing swim—an experience not to be missed.

Day 5: last day of descent of Tsiribihina > Bekopaka

End of the descent in the morning.

Transfer by vehicle to Belo Tsiribihina to reach the village of Bekopaka. The track to the Tsingy of Bemaraha is uncomfortable but it’s the one road to reach this park. It makes the trip adventurous.

Day 6: Bekopaka

Spend a full day exploring the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. Marvel at the striking landscapes of karst peaks, home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including lemurs, birds, and unique deciduous plants.

Day 7: Bekopaka > Kirindy

 

After breakfast, we begin our drive back, crossing the Belo sur Tsiribihina River once more. We will then head to Kirindy, famous for being the only place in the world where the Fosa (Cryptoprocta ferox), Madagascar’s largest carnivore, can be observed in its natural habitat. In the evening, enjoy a nocturnal visit to the reserve, offering a chance to spot the island’s unique wildlife.

Fosa 1

Day 8: Kirindy > Morondava

After breakfast, visit the Kirindy Reserve, home to unique wildlife, including the famous fosa, Madagascar’s largest carnivore, and a variety of lemurs, birds, and reptiles. The reserve’s dry forest is known for its distinct ecosystem and remarkable biodiversity. In the evening we arrive to the Alley of Baobab.. We are there at the right time, the sun is low, raking light, smooth trunks reflect the orange rays of the sun. It’s an ideal moment to take photography of the sunset. Continuation till Morondava .

Day 9: Morondava

Day at leisure. We let this at leisure so that you can discover the city and profit the hotel. If you wish, we invite you to visit a fisher village of Betania.

Morondava

Day 10: Morondava > Antananarivo > Andasibe

Transfer to the airport, flight to Antananarivo. Welcoming at the airport of Ivato. Road directly to then road to the eastside through the national road 2. Arrival in Andasibe at the end of afternoon. Installation at the hotel then go for a nocturnal visit of VOI community-run reserve to.

Day 11: Analamazaotra National Park & Vakona private reserve

In the early morning, we walk with a local guide to discover Analamazaotra National Park. It is mainly covered with primary forest pecullar to the east side of Madagascar. Many rare and endemic species can be found in this rainforest. Here we can meet Indri Indri, the largest of the lemurs. Their behavior is fascinating and your guide will tell you all about them. The park is also home to several species such as the gray bamboo lemur, woolly lemur and others. Other endemic fauna can also be found here. The flora is also very interesting, there are several types of medicinal plants that are listed here. After lunch, visit to the private reserve of Vakona, where you can get close to the lemurs and observe them in their natural habitat. Return to the hotel.

Day 12: Andasibe > Antananarivo

After breakfast, road to Tana. Stop visit of Peyrerias reserve in Mandraka. Continuation to Tana. Transfer to the hotel near of the airport.

Day 13: Antananarivo > Home

Visit and shopping at the market handcraft.
